NZ - Te Rapa - Race 2

SQUIRE (2) returns to the jumps after some good form on the flat, where he has been racing consistently, including a solid third over 1 ?m at Arawa Park 15 days ago. He is unbeaten here over this trip, and he is the one to beat for us. LORD SPENCER (1) has been racing in terrific form and won easily with a strong staying performance on the flat at Woodville. He only knows one way of racing over jumps, and that is to run hard and get out to a big lead. If he jumps cleanly, then he will be hard to peg back. MONT VENTOUX (3) resumed from a spell with a fair effort on the flat at Pukekohe, and he should take plenty of improvement from that outing. His jumping record is excellent, and he will be an each-way threat here after a recent jumping trial. INVISIBLE SPIRIT (4) has not been far away in recent outings, and he will relish being back over the jumps. He benefits from a 4lbs claim, and he can grind out a win here. PACHECO (5) has won his only jumps race, and he will be fit for this.
