ARJAY'S FLIGHT (7) has been steadily improving with racing, and he hit the front a long way from home when finishing third at Te Aroha nearly 2 weeks ago. He has performed at this level in the past, and with 10lbs less to carry, he can take this out. PERFECTMANZ (1) made the most of a terrific Joe Nishizuka rail hugging ride when scoring at Ruakaka last week, and with the aid of a 7lbs claim, he is well placed to repeat the dose. AFTERGLO (4) charged home to win here by a neck at his penultimate start, and then ran on to late for second at New Plymouth 3 weeks ago. The extra 2 ½f is now ideal at this stage of her prep, and she will be hard to hold out again. MUSCOVADO (5) is knocking on the door for his net win, and he will enjoy a 11lbs drop in weight with the rise in class here. Stick with him on an each-way basis. CHARLBURY (6) was doing her best work late here a fortnight ago, and her best effort would take her close to winning this at nice odds.
