NOT USUAL MOANA (8) meets a fairly tame maiden field here over 1m, and she has raced her way into some good form. She benefits from a 4lbs claim, and she looks well placed to take this out. KENWOOD HOUSE (1) has turned a corner in his last couple of starts with a brace of second-place finished, and it seems that racing in an anti-clockwise direction suits him. He has the pole position, and he can go one better here. DA ACE (2) has not been too far away all year, and his 2 most recent starts have been solid efforts at Ellerslie. He is likely to settle handy to the pace, and he should produce another honest effort. TROUBLE MAKER (15) steps up to 1m at just his third start, and from a good draw, he is worth including in all top 4 combos. THE DARZI (7) did well off a tough gate on debut, and he will need to do the same from another wide draw. He will naturally improve second up, and he is not the worst at odds.
