Verdict

WHISTLER (4) is a progressive gelding who showed real toughness when breaking through for his first win fresh up at Pukekohe over 6f nearly a month ago, and the lightly raced runner looks to have plenty more improvement in store. He can repeat the dose. KIA KAHA (6) resumes from a spell that would have done her the world of good. She went close over 7f at this track when ending her last campaign, and she will be ready to rumble fresh up. TOPSY TURVY (9) could not have been more impressive when scoring fresh up over this course and distance by a widening margin. She was well found in the market that day, and she has the scope to go right on with the job. ATLANTA GOLD (10) led and dropped out in a far tougher field at Ellerslie last start. Her fresh run here at this level was good, and she can make amends. PUROSANGUE (3) has the ability to win again.
