Verdict

ASTORIA BROOKE (2) is proving to be very hard to catch after she followed up an impressive win here over 1m with an absolute shocker at New Plymouth over 1 ?m 3 weeks ago. She is unbeaten in 3 starts on this course, including 2 wins at the trip, so with those stats, we have to give her a chance to set the record straight. UDERZO (1) was motoring home late her a fortnight ago over 6 ½f, and stepping back out to a mile will suit him. He is a durable veteran these days, and though he may not win often, he can always be relied upon to try his best. Include in all top 4 combos. RUDYARD (3) has also been mixing his form this prep, and his last win was over a year ago. He does not want it too wet, and with conditions to suit him, he can figure in the top 3 here. AMIRA D'ARGENTO (5) is a very consistent mare who has been racing well on this course at this level. She is nicely weighted, and worth including in all bets. LOTUS (6) can do better than her last run. Follow your money.
