LEGARTO (8) had no luck last start at Trentham when bizarrely her jockey decided to stay to the inside of the track when the winners were all coming wide that day, so to finish fourth was a very good effort. Opie Bosson steps into the irons, and she gets her chance to break back into the winner's circle here. KINGSWOOD (1) was well ridden last start when making a quick move to lead on a slow pace, and then quickening well to score easily by over a length in the G1 Zabeel Classic. He has the pole position, and won't have to lead to be a big chance of repeating the dose. EL VENCEDOR (2) needs to lead to be at his best, and he is likely to be right on the pace with a step back up to a middle distance after a disappointing effort over 7 ½f at Ellerslie a week ago. Stick with him. KNOBELAS (10) will strip fitter after finishing third in the G3 Aotearoa Classic as the favourite 2 weeks ago over a mile. Follow your money. HINEKAHA (9) is in terrific form against similar fields. Each way.
