MILLER'S POINT (6) won a trial before flashing home late as the favourite and finishing second fresh up at Ta Aroha by a short-head. He found 6f too short at Tauranga last time out, and he will relish the extra furlong here. A wide gate is no help, but he is still good enough to take this out. NIGHT WOLF (18) has been thereabouts in all 5 starts this prep, including a last start third at Ruakaka over a mile 24 days ago. He cops a wide gate and will only need some luck to be a top 4 chance again. Include in all top 4 combos. YOUNG JACKSON (4) was doing his best work late when making his debut at Ellerslie, and he is bred to improve with more racing. 7f might already be too short for him, but he won't be in this grade for much longer. BANNEN (2) will be peaking third up, and he finally lands a good gate. Each way value. THEE AULD TRICK (8) improved in her last run before having a spell, and she will be a lot stronger this year. Don't risk her. Include in all combinations.
