MAGIC CARPET (3) went from a couple of solid thirds to open his career, straight to winning at G3 level here a month ago. The penny has certainly dropped for this colt, and he can now go on with the job. On top, but don't expect any fancy odds this time. AFFIRMATIVE ACTION (1) overcame a wide gate and raced handy on pace before out-toughing his rivals to score by a head at Ellerslie last time out in a strong field. That was an upset to everyone except his trainer, and he is another who will continue to perform at this level for the rest of the season. HE WHO DARES (2) tried his heart out when finishing a game runner-up to the second pick last start. He strips fitter and has the scope to take this out. QUONDO (4) cruised home to win as expected on debut, and then stepped up in class to finish runner-up behind the top pick a month ago. He can go one better with the right run here. TO CAP IT ALL (10) has been racing well on testing wet tracks. She is a sound top 4 chance here at odds.
