OFF THE SCALES (11) has been beaten narrow margins in all 3 starts to date, all on the synthetic track. Has shown versatility and can overcome the wide draw here. CLARA BOW (7) was a game 3rd on debut over 7f in December then took on the G2 Lowland (3rd) and G1 NZ Oaks (last). Keep safe after two quiet trials. ZIPPIDY (13) led them up when fresh at Taupo and gave a good kick but caught late. Sound claims from the handy gate here. BELLAFIORE (10) trailed from the inside draw and had every chance on debut when 2L 4th in February. Looked sharper hitting the line well for 2nd at the trials last month. Improver.
