ZENZERO GIRL (6) honest mare who has been getting home well form the rear in recent starts over 6f. Good chance to break through here. WATERMELON SUGAR (5) broke through over 6f 3 starts back when looming from beyond midfield at Ruakaka. Made up a stack of ground over 6 ½f last time & this looks ideal. HAPPY VENTURE (3) local gelding whose maiden win came here at this trip from a similar draw when first-up. Respect here. LA PARISIENNE (12) has put in solid late runs in her last couple of starts and her lone win came here. CLEW BAY (8) worked from a wide draw to be right on the speed and fought strongly for 2nd over 1 5/16m 3 starts back. Two quiet trials of late. Can figure over 7f first-up.
