WINGMAN (2) was a beaten favourite at Otaki 8 days ago when looking to be in need of the run. He has less time between starts this time, and he does have a good record on this track. A good draw makes him the one to beat, so follow your money. COMPLEX (3) has been disappointing in his last couple of starts, and steps back up to 7f after finishing well back over 6f here 2 weeks ago. He is a lightly tried 7-year-old gelding that is worth another chance. AFTERNOON SIESTA (10) is a very progressive 5-year-old mare that has won 2 of her 3 career starts, including her fresh effort at Tauherenikau just over 3 weeks ago. She drops 6lbs and goes close again. Each way. KOSTA (8) was very unlucky here 2 weeks ago over 6f, and the extra furlong will make all the difference this time. Hard to beat for ours. JUNGLE JANE (12) fought on gamely last time out and though out of the money, she was not far off the winner. She has less time between starts this time, so stick with her.
