Verdict

LUX LIBERTAS (9) raced well without winning last prep, and was at her best on wet tracks. She has had a recent quiet trial, and the weather has been a bit indifferent lately in the capital. Her stable is still running hot, and she can win this fresh up. Check the market. MAROTIRI MOLLY (8) fought on gamely for fifth in the G2 Breeders' Stakes at Pukekohe 4 weeks ago. She loves it here and is unbeaten in a couple of starts over this trip on this track. A good draw helps, and she will be competitive. BELLES BEAU (4) franked a trial win with a comfortable victory at Waverley fresh up, and then was hitting the line hard at G3 level over 7f a fortnight ago on this track. Craig Grylls is back in the saddle, and the pair merits healthy respect. OUR ECHO (2) needed the run here 6 days ago, and will be a lot sharper second up. He has a good record on this course over the trip and will finish a lot closer this time. DOCTOR ASKAR (3) is ready rumble third up. Don't sell him short. Each way.
