Verdict

DEE VEE PEE (3) was doing his best work late at New Plymouth 3 weeks ago when finishing fifth. He wouldn't mind a firmer surface, and he has a chance to break his win drought in this. TAI (2) needed his resuming run over 1 ?m a fortnight ago, and he will be ready to handle the extra 2f here. Keep him safe in all combos. PIPER'S SON (7) ran on too late in a similar field at New Plymouth a fortnight ago, and he is more than capable of figuring in the top 4 here at a price. ZORBA (6) won't lack fitness, and will also benefit from a 4lbs claim, which makes him a solid top 3 chance in this sort of field. GRAND PROSPECT (9) is not without some claims in this, and LEPREKHAN (8) can bob up when his mind is on the job, so include the both on any quaddie tickets.
