RIDEFROMTHEASHES (2) was solid when third two back at Ellerslie but didn't fire last time there over 1m, finishing seventh as the favourite in another strong field. He is much better placed in this, and with Craig Grylls back in the saddle, he is the one to beat. LA PRIMA DAMA (7) hasn't been seen since a 1m win at Wanganui in late spring. She is lightly raced and has been tuned up by a recent winning trial. If 7f is not already too short for her, she can take this out. Check the market. VESPHIRE (9) hasn't won for some time but wasn't far away when fourth over 1m at Tauherenikau on February 6. With her racing style, she often needs luck, but if the gaps come at the right time, she can have the last say here. BEAN A PLEASURE (4) was a deserved winner at Otaki 3 weeks ago, and she can upgrade her modest track stats.
