TSHIEBWE (2) led all the way when cruising home to score by over 3 lengths in the Whanganui Cup 5 weeks ago. He is bred to relish more ground, and even though he has the Wellington Cup in his sights, he can win this Cup as well. FREDDIE TIME (9) is a vastly improved South Island-trained gelding who chased hard and got to be within a nose of the winner in the Manawatu Cup here 2 weeks ago over 1 7/16m. He is as game as they come, and if all this has not come a year too soon for him, then he can go one better, especially with only 117lbs to carry. JUST CHARLIE (7) just peaked on his run late in the Taupo Cup 6 days ago, he is down an extra kilo here, and may try and take them all the way. SAGUNTO (3) clung on grimly for a nose win in the Manawatu Cup, and with the same weight to carry, he could go end to end again. Stick with him. ONE BOLD CAT (1) will be peaking third up, and will have a query over 1 7/16m, but on a wet track, he can't be ignored. Include in all combos. TRAV (8) can place.
