RONALDO (1) ended his juvenile 3-start campaign with 2 wins and fifth in the G1 Sires' Produce here at the end of March. He has trialled up quietly, and look ready to run a big race fresh up in what is a winnable race for him. MIDNIGHT DART (2) cost himself any chance of a closer finish when racing greenly during the running of the Whanganui Guineas. He was beaten by a nose in the Ryder Stakes as a juvenile, and is set to make amends here. Stick with him. BELLASS (5) was too tough when gripping on to score an all the way win at Woodville nearly 2 weeks ago. She has a good gate here, and she may take some pegging back again. VANTAGE POINT (3) was a comfortable winner of his last start as a juvenile at Waverley in May, and he will be a lot stronger this season.
