UPTOWN MONK (11) appreciated the step up to 7f last start when the comfortable winner of a BM56 at Balaklava. Takes on a better race today but he is progressive and looks as good a chance as any in a very open affair. TOWER OF TUSCANY (10) has been freshened up since a poor performance over a slightly shorter trip than this at the Parks circuit five weeks ago. Drops sharply in the weights after the claim. Watch for a far better run this time. HARD LEAF (2) placed twice in a row then never looked likely over 7 ½f at Morphettville Parks most recently. Handy miler who drops a little in class today and can bounce back to form. Sparingly raced five-year-old NO MANS LAND (12) has produced a couple of promising efforts of late, most recently when runner-up at the Parks track last weekend. Looks ready for a first crack at the mile. BLACKJACK (8) is going well this prep and will make his own luck up on the speed.
