DANTOOINE (7) showed good early speed then led into the straight when fresh from a spell last start before fighting on to finish second, beaten a nose, over 6f at Ballarat. The subsequent form out of the race has been strong and he's sure to have taken improvement. ARTISSI (10) was a barnstorming winner last start at Balaklava when coming from the tail of the field. Backs up quickly and has to be taken seriously. BECAUSEYOU'RE MINE (9) pushed forward from a wide draw last time and found the front, leading around the bend but tired to finish out of the placings. Drawn much kinder this time and can produce a better effort. EL PASO CITIE (3) closed nicely into third in this grade at Naracoorte, adding to a consistent campaign. Kept fresh with 33 days between runs and doesn't need to improve much to get the verdict.
