Verdict

RICHE D'AMOUR (3) was at her barnstorming best last start when clearing out to score easily at Murray Bridge in what has proven a red-hot form reference. Drops back to the 5f off 49 days and can repeat the dose. BRISTLER (4) was back to the Bristler we know and love last week when fighting on gamely after giving a bold sight. At his top now and will prove a handful to run down if left alone through the middle stages. LA ROUX (12) burst onto the scene as a 2YO but hasn't quite been able to go on with it yet. Her two runs this time back suggest she's starting to figure it out. Stick with her. VINTAGE STAR (7) maps well and gets in light again with the claim. Should be hitting his straps now and is among the main winning chances. MR ASSERTIVE (8) is a Vic gelding resuming that will inject plenty of pace into the race. Fitter for two sharp jumpouts.
