Verdict

CREEK (2) is yet to strike through this campaign but surely isn't far away. Took time to balance up when straightening last start, which ultimately cost him, but he continues to rate highly and remains a major player despite the bridesmaid tag. SPEEDTAIL (1) hasn't had much go right of late and was again strong through the line at Murray Bridge. Draws a touch closer on the quick back-up and just needs the breaks at the right time to be very hard to hold out. SEA OF LIGHTS (7) is going better than the form guide suggests and doesn't need to find much to be in the finish. Crowther's booking is a positive signal. No surprise if she wins. SACRED CHORD (8) rattled home to just miss as favourite at Port Lincoln. This is tougher, but she gets in light and is worth consideration. MAGIC PRINCESS (11) also rises in grade but arrives as a last-start winner and deserves respect.
