VIOLET LOVEBUG (13) opened this prep in a tougher race last start and did a good job to be beaten just 2.1 lengths over 5 ¼f at this track. Carries just 2kgs more after the claim in this easier race. The one to beat second-up out to this more favourable journey. RICHE D'AMOUR (12) regularly misses the kick so he is his own worst enemy. Up to his old tricks here last start but passed half the field in the straight in a similar race to this. Capable of a big finish off the back of a strong gallop, GOLDEN CLOUD (4) has been relentless this prep, racking up a third win three weeks ago when he powered home from well back to get the prize over this distance. Getting up in the weights but is very difficult to knock. BOHEMIAN ANGEL (14) was rewarded for consistency with a barnstorming win in a BM64 over this track and distance recently. Up in grade but doesn't know how to run a bad race. INEXORABLE (5) produced an eye-catcher first-up and from a better gate today can feature prominently.
