Verdict

HIDDEN MOTIVE (11) was super fresh when missing by a long neck to Beadman in the Fireball at Randwick. He clearly went amiss in the Darby Munro, so happy to put a line through it. Toeroek is a key booking and if he gets anywhere near that fresh form he'll take care of them. STRETAN ANGEL (9) can be tricky to catch but she's a talented mare on her day. She's run well here before, most notably when beaten a head in The Goodwood two years ago. Three jumpouts have her ready to fire. SUPER SMINK (8) makes the trip across from WA and brings real class. She's probably better over further but she can sprint sharply fresh. If they overdo it up front she'll be launching late. PISANELLO (3) also does his best work late and was good first up at Flemington off a long break. He'll relish the extra ½f and shouldn't be overlooked. WATCHME WIN (2) returns and is a track-and-trip specialist who's rarely far away. Unbeaten fresh, so he has to be taken seriously.
