GARCON RENARD (3) flashed home to just miss in the slop when resuming on the Parks track last month. Far less effective last time but willing to forgive that as he drops in grade. Drawn sticky but keeps Holder. Bold showing anticipated. JUSTICA'S BONUS (8) improved sharply third-up at Bordertown when closing off nicely into the placings. Fitter again and gets an important 7lbs claim. Can give this a big shake. KAHLUA GIRL (11) was a big improver second-up when sent forward at Balaklava, just reeled in late but a few better. Is another that strips fitter and finds a suitable assignment to play a major role. THE JOURNO (5) only warmed late when resuming here last month. Lacks early speed so could land in a tricky spot from the low draw but watch for him bursting through late. MAGIC ISLAND (14) is a former QLD-based mare having her first start for R & C Jolly. Smart stable that can bring out her best. Keeping safe.
