Verdict

VOLCANIC EXPRESS (3) has savaged the line in both runs back off a 399-day break. A month between runs but he's been kept up to the mark with a trial. Sir Now deserves his flowers but if he's not on top of his game VE could gobble him up late. SIR NOW (1) is as tough as old boots and a hero of the Hewitt stable. Has been terrific this campaign and his form is impossible to knock. CICALA (5) is a promising mare for the Clarken camp but disappointed fresh in an effort that was too bad to be true. Has since gone back to the trials and can improve sharply now. LINGANI (2) is a consistent mare that rarely gets the market respect she deserves. Gets in well with the claim and is sure to make her presence felt. DEEPFLOAT DIVA (6) hasn't come back the same gelding this prep but is best of the rest.
