Verdict

ZEBELLA (6) led and was just run down last first-up. She's been back to the trials since and boasts a solid second-up record so she might be the horse to beat here. Expect she'll settle in the first couple and be hard to run down. KARAVAS (2) is a quality mare that comes back to SA after tackling a stronger Stakes race in Melbourne last start. She's drawn well and rarely runs poorly at this track and distance. She looks a definite winning threat. PERILOUS FIGHTER (4) is another Victorian raider that can run well, while SIR NOW (1) bombed the start but got home well first-up. He's a winner and will be somewhere in the mix.
