CLARENCE (6) is going better than his form reads. Presents fresh off 35 days, keeping the legs ticking over with a nice trial performance in-between. Will take a sit behind the pace, and will be sweating on the gap to appear. HIGH ON SUGAR (15) drove hard to score at Gawler seven weeks ago and has kept ticking over with two hit-outs since. This is tougher, but he's certainly capable of measuring up. STAR SIRIUS (11) never came into it fresh at Geelong, but that run is best forgotten, she's much better than that. Expect Toeroek to be more positive and have her blending into it nicely at the turn. Sharp improvement is on the cards. ANGEL TORQUE (13) is going beautifully but will need a smart steer from the horrible draw. Could look to go forward and lead with plenty of running in the legs. THE STALKER (2) is the recognised leader and should be at his top now, though he will likely be held to account in front.
