Verdict

MISTER MARTINI (5) came home with a rush, and only missed out on the win by a nose at Ballarat just over a fortnight ago. He is part of the Hawkes stable that has crossed the border, and he is peaking at the right time here. The extra 1f is ideal, and he is the one to beat. TAUPO TIGER (7) can't be faulted recently, and he finally gets a decent draw to use. He is up in class, but still worth including in all top 4 combos. BARGAIN BOY (1) has been in the money twice from as many starts this prep, and each time he has started as the favourite. He is a third up winner in the past, and can get the job done here. Follow your money. DARCI LANE (3) bolted in down in class at Strathalbyn nearly 4 weeks ago, and he still has more to offer. Jacob Opperman sticks with him, and so do we. I AM RALPH (9) stepped up in class after winning his penultimate start, and ran a bottler for second here 2 weeks ago. A repeat of that effort has him in the top 3 again. Stick with him.
