Verdict

ANGEL TORQUE (10) is going beautifully and backs up quickly after missing by just a head last week. Holding that level of form puts her right in the finish again. STAR SIRIUS (8) never came into it fresh at Geelong, but that run is best forgotten, she's much better than what she showed. From the inside draw over a favoured track and trip, expect Toeroek to be far more positive. Sharp improvement is on the cards. HIGH ON SUGAR (12) drove hard to score at Gawler six weeks ago and has kept ticking over with two hit-outs since. This is tougher, but he's certainly capable of measuring up. FLASHING STEEL (2) was a real eye-catcher fresh, charging home into fourth off a slow tempo. The wide draw isn't ideal, but he's worth sticking with. THUNDER SHOC (7) was a determined winner here last month, arriving right on the line. A repeat of that effort puts him in the frame again.
