CANNY DEFENSE (3) hasn't been able to break through for over a year but is knocking on the door, charging home strongly into the placings in his last two. Draws favourably and only needs to hold his form to go very close. TENTERK (4) proved too strong two runs ago at Strathalbyn but couldn't quite follow it up at the latest when tackling tougher opposition. Will find this easier and rates one of the main dangers. TYGA TASTE (2) closed his prep in ideal fashion by shedding the maiden tag with a barnstorming win. Is a lightly raced gelding that is sure to have taken improvement. CAUSEWELUVADELAIDE (7) turned in a solid performance first-up when beaten narrowly by Tenterk, who she now meets with a slight weight swing. Got too far back last time but if she's closer here she can play a major role.
