RIPPER (1) came back in trip at Mt Gambier 5-days ago in a 66 on the slow and didn't finish it off. He finished well when close-up at Donald and Horsham prior, and that form reads well for this. Needs the splits to come drifting back from the inside barrier, but he's as good a chance as any in this lineup. MANGIONE (2) runs along but found it too tough from the 14 barrier at Stawell. His Adelaide and Warrnambool efforts prior read well for this contest, and the 9lbs claim brings him right into it. BANNERTON (3) was back to this trip at Werribee and came hard beaten 1.4L. He's only need to hold that form to feature. LITTLEBITCHEEKY (4) resumed in good order but hasn't done a lot the two since. Gets Meech today replacing apprentices, and she has more upside than most.
