Verdict

LIGHTNING FLASH (6) is coming off a close up fifth at Wangaratta last time having won by an effortless six lengths there prior. The wetter the better for this mare and up to 1 ¼m now looks ideal from a soft gate. Hard to hold out. MISS NIAGARA (9) missed the placings two starts back then ran a better race and finished 4.5 lengths away in fifth last time out over 1 ½m at Geelong. Tough draw but can be running on at each-way odds. PHANTOM'S CHASE (3) put in a solid run at Donald last time in similar company having won his maiden there dominantly prior. Off a decent break here is a little niggle but respecting. JUST LANDED (2) did a great job to score by one length over this course and distance last start to maintain his good form of late. Hard to knock again. HARRY CAVIAR (1) is off a maiden win and could go on with it.
