The first flat race is a Maiden Plate for 3YOs for 50K. This circuit either heavily favours inside runners or those that come wide, so later in the day, the barriers will play an important part in finding winners. POSITIVE IMAGE (6) is improving all the time, and he is likely to be positive early on. QUEEN CHRISTINE (16) is a local filly who was a beaten favourite in her last 2 starts prior to a spell. She is stronger now, and with a couple of tune-up trials under her belt, she will be ready to rumble fresh. UPOLU (10) ran on too late when resuming, and he will strip fitter. He had won a jump-out prior, and will now don the blinkers for the first time. Stick with him. SHADES OF STARDOM (8) showed talent during his initial prep, and his recent spell would have done him the world of good. He resumes as a winner of the last of his 3 tune-up trials, and he can't be risked.
