Verdict

RAVEN'S SILVER (3) was well fancied when resuming last start and proved too strong, scoring by 2.25 lengths over 5f at this track. Has a strong record at the trip and is the testing material. INDUCTION (1) has been a model of consistency this preparation, most recently finding just one better when very well-supported. The only start on the home track resulted in a 4-1/4-length maiden win on a Heavy 10 surface. POSTWAR (4) produced a reasonable effort when fourth last start over 5f at Wagga, beaten 2.5 lengths. That followed a brilliant win at Albury the start prior and he deserves to be given another chance to see if he can reproduce that. LAURA'S GOLD (12) has spent a bit of time in 62 grade this prep, so she'll find this company suitable and draws beautifully. PUMP THE PEDALS (2) was too good for a maiden field last start over 5f at Ballarat Synthetic, scoring by a long neck. Harder task ahead this time but can measure up.
