Verdict

Wide-open race and speed to burn. CUMBOOGLE (1) is an honest galloper with eight of his 10 wins at this trip. Course and distance placed two back then tackled slightly tougher grade latest and was beaten four lengths. Might actually take a sit here off a good draw as some of the other speed out wide charges across. Suited this grade and will be in it for a long way. BELLA CINQUE (3) is another speed horse and probably has to go forward from out wide. Just missed in a BM62 two back then worked hard up front when midfield latest. Take catching this easier grade. GOLDEN PULSE (7) is the query runner. Showed good ability with a debut win, tackled a feature race at Geelong then went for a long break, then was well tried at return but eased out of the race. He had had bone chips removed but jury is out now. Has the ability, so wary of a betting push. SIMPLY LUSCIOUS (8) is a course and distance winner who will take catching. NOBLE STYLE (9) has a tricky gate but best form stacks up.
