Verdict

Wide-open maiden complicated by a couple of first starters showing good ability. COURT JESTER (4) was in the market on debut and after getting well back stormed home into a close-up fourth. Can only be improved and looks tough to stop again. THE SHYSTER (8) is the one to watch closely for a push. Gelding by Profiteer who has had a host of trials but won the last three. Looks primed to hit the ground running. BORDEAUX (3) is back for second campaign but really let down well fresh to place here, beaten less than a length. That was off a long break so should strip even fitter. CHAPEL BELLE (10) wasn't far away in richer company fresh then fourth at Mornington latest. Should be ready to fire. RENTIER (7) is another debutante showing ability and worth watching for a move.
