Verdict

BREAK THE TABOO (12) narrowly on top. She's racing consistently, well backed into third two starts ago at Seymour before just battling on very heavy going at Hamilton. Happy to forgive that one, especially given the market support, and she can bounce back quickly. Wary of the lightly raced CALL ME MAURA (11) who won her maiden well at Ballarat Synthetic two back before struggling behind a potential star in town last time. This should suit nicely, she just draws awfully. SHOOTER MCGAVIN (3) is going okay, he switches to turf now which is interesting but he's good enough on his day. MR BUTT'S BOATS (2) is back onto turf here since two synthetic runs, his best form is good enough and he can improve up on top of the speed.

Form hard to fault. Most recently ran second last in a small field at Hamilton Bm56 on July 12 over 6f, in the wet, 10 len behind Port Louis with 154lbs at $1.85. The run before that ran on from midfield, 3rd of 12 at Seymour Bm62 on May 21 over 7f, slow going 2.5 len behind Thunder Hawk with 130lbs at $2.80. Going well enough to take this out.
