This is tough. REWARD THE SHERIFF (9) missed a whisker this track and trip first-up and then found a 62 at over 5f at Bendigo too much of a stretch. Rates highly and can bounce back. Is proven third up and can bounce back on his home track. MELODEE ROSE (11) missed a nose over 4 ½f at Corowa and then began awkwardly beaten 2.2L at Yarra Valley. Has claims in this lineup with average luck in the run. WAREO ROAD (2) resumes with Coffey booked and has jumped out well at Bendigo. Has an awkward gate but has jumped out well at Bendigo, and he ran his best number this course/distance. THE WAYFARER (4) just missed at Edenhope and then raced wide throughout here. Draws better for this, and he's in the mix.
