APPPLEBY (9) has placed in both runs back from a spell, good to the line at Yarra Valley last time when beaten a length. She does struggle to win with just 1 victory from 20 starts but has found a good race here and can flash through late. MR MARKLE (13) ran well fresh at Tatura over 5f. He's been given a short break since then but can still improve off that and take holding out. INFINITE MATRIX (12) is consistent without winning, notching up another minor placing at Werribee last time out, fresh into that run when sticking on for third. He could be fitter and will take catching. BRAVE CAROL (6) had things against second up at Geelong but had been close up fresh and can improve now.
