Verdict

Tricky race but we'll side with BAGANOV (3) who comes here off a debut maiden win at Echuca, well supported there and getting the job done comfortably by 1.75 lengths. He didn't beat much and the time was just fair but there's clearly ability there and he's got upside. AKICITA (1) got too far back at Pakenham when last seen, the splits from where he was suggesting he ran very well. Back to 6f here is okay, watch for him late. PODARGONI (2) is going okay without winning, struggling last time but good in Adelaide prior. He maps for a nice run. FREAK OF NATURE (4) hasn't won in a while but is going okay and sets up nicely for Stackhouse. SKELLIG ROCK (7) presents third up and can sneak into the finish.
