Verdict

MAUNA KEA MISS (3) resumes. She was racing quite well last time in, finishing fourth at Flemington in a much stronger race when last seen behind Thanks Gorgeous who is a subsequent Listed winner. This is a fair bit easier and she should take plenty of catching. FLYING MEAN (4) resumes off a very long spell. He's got ability and was in good form last campaign, the late betting will be key for the Clinton McDonald yard who typically don't mind a bet. BUVELOT (1) won two on the bounce in easier company, solid again last time over this route when getting back in the run. He can land a bit closer off a more genuine tempo here. MAYA'S ACE (7) is lightly raced having won her maiden first up, even last time at Cranbourne. She can improve again. MANHATTAN THUNDER (2) struggled fresh here but this is a shade easier and he can be finishing strongly.
