Verdict

MAD ABOUT MAGNUS (5) looks very hard to beat. She debuted here and was well backed to start $1.95, showing speed but just overrun late to be beaten under a length. She should come on nicely from that and any natural improvement sees her too quick. ALPHABET (3) resumes. She was close up in a couple of good maidens before a spell and can return in good order, look for her late in the piece. NIMCHA (6) wasn't far away first up over this trip at Mornington and draws to sit on speed again here with more to come. PEIRIANT (2) has placed in both starts to date, huge odds on debut but proving that was no fluke at Cranbourne with another solid effort. Respecting again. KAPOLEI (4) is a filly by Street Boss on debut for the O'Brien yard who has jumped out well and has claims.
