Verdict

SHINDY (8) wound up strongly to finish second, beaten under a length last time out over this track and trip. Has been knocking on the door for a long time and gets another good chance to finally break through. FRANKEL'S WORD (11) progressed nicely in his second start when chasing gamely into second here at a nice price two weeks ago. Is open to further improvement, though will need a smart steer from Mott out there. ROCKIN' DEE FOX (2) came home strongly last start to finish a narrow third also at a big price last fortnight. If he holds his form he's right in the mix. THE LADY VENUS (10) progressed nicely last start to finish a close second over the mile here after missing the placings at the previous appearance. Is on the up and deserves her chance.
