Verdict

THE WESTERN FRONT (4) is a lightly raced 5yo gelding who resumed with a very good run at Flemington, getting back as is his usual pattern but running on very strongly into a narrow fourth. He's always promised good ability and will take plenty of holding out with the added fitness. OTAGO (1) was just fair in the same race at Flemington having been building okay in three runs prior. His best is absolutely good enough if he can find it. MOMETZ (6) similarly comes through the Flemington lead up, okay in sixth there. He can improve. BLUSHING TYCOON (7) should be fitter third up and could take catching. LITTLE COINTREAU (3) could sneak into the first four.
