Tough race. RAINY NIGHT (5) didn't have much luck first up here on wet ground when drawing the inside which was no help at all. The debut run last time in was good in a strong maiden when well supported. He can be a quick improver. HONEY MAKER (7) is knocking on the door having finished third in her past two starts, good out to this trip last time in a handy maiden. She should prove hard to hold out. MACCA'S ANGEL (10) debuted over 6f at Mornington when getting back, struggling to make too many inroads. Suspect the rise to 7f will suit much better on the home deck. HORATIUS (4) was fair on debut at Cranbourne over 6f behind a potentially smart horse. He will certainly appreciate the rise in trip. BLACK EYED BLONDE (6) is racing consistently and should be right there again.
