Verdict

Challenging way to round out the day and it might pay to include a few in the Quaddie. BOTANICAL BOY (3) definitely goes in given he's nearing peak fitness after a couple of good runs this time, including a nice effort last start in what seemed a stronger race than this. The gun barrier is just the icing on the cake. LYGON STREET LUIGI (8) has only won 1 of 26, but he went awfully close to landing that elusive second last time out and he's drawn to be a major player once again. SALCHOW (16) also has more talent than his record suggests but he caught the eye late in a tougher race than this first-up and gets in well after the claim. He's likely to be spotting them a big start again, though. ROCK THE BAR (1) has a lot of weight but is progressing well at the trials and has had four first-up runs for two wins. NOSTRA BELLA (14) scored her first win last start but was very aggressively placed last prep and could go on with it here.
