There's little doubt CHEWING GUM (8) has the most talent of all runners in this race, but, by crikey, she's tested punters' patience. Some of those runs have been over trips she's probably not best-suited to, though, and 5 ½f looks a great assignment first up. Her only career win has come first up. PER FAVORE (6) has been pleasing connections at the jumpouts, however, and looks a progressive type who can run a big race first up. WHAT YOU WILL (10) will find this much more suitable than the first-up run during the Warrnambool Carnival and can be a big improver here. KID DYNAMITE (1) hasn't done a whole lot wrong this prep and although unplaced last start, was only beaten 1.2 lengths. In well here after the claim and can improve. PODARGONI (3) folded up late last start at Pakenham but might be better suited back to this trip.
