OMAMORI (1) looks to have found a nice race. He's racing very consistently without quite threatening but the past couple have been in town against better opposition and he's been close up in fourth. Comes back a notch now and handles all ground, he'll just need a bit of luck from the gate. WINSTON (3) went forward and gave a great sight before finishing third last time out over 1 5/16m at Ballarat Synthetic. Back to turf here is fine, he draws to take plenty of catching. SILVER PLEDGE (2) is close to breaking through, last start finishing just half a length away in second over this trip at Moe. He'll get back but should take holding out in a similar affair. CHATEAU VEGA (12) stuck on well last time at Bairnsdale and the 1 ½m here should suit ideally now, respecting. GENRICHERO (4) has claims on best form.
