Verdict

This is a step up for NATIONAL CODE (8), but so was last start when she made light work of her rivals as an odds-on favourite. Broke the maiden at a similar quote the start prior and both runs have hinted that she is a horse who will not be out of place in grade or above. MISSILE GIRL (11) disappointed two back after a freshen but improved sharply last start when up in grade and she should be at peak fitness now. SOPHAST (7) spanked his rivals in BM66 grade two back, which meant he went around hard in the market in BM70 grade last time and while never a factor, he'll find this more to his liking. TANGO JEWEL (3) competed in tougher races than this throughout last prep and while she's yet to win first-up, she looked good winning a recent trial. ZEMGRINDA (2) has been racing in a rich vein of form this preparation and last start was his toughest test to date he handled it with ease.
