Jimmysstar's younger brother IN'KANTOSSTAR (5) was a good thing licked on debut, after which he was put away, but returned with a stylish win at Ballarat. He'll have taken benefit from that and while he meets some handy types here, he looks to have scope for improvement. MAGNETIC CHESS (4) made progress last time out, finishing 2.75 lengths from the winner in second over 6 ½f at Bendigo. Previous start was in town and won his only two earlier runs in the campaign, so there's a lot of merit to the body of work he's put together this prep. KATSUMI OROCHI (1) is equal topweight with a wide gate but is an undeniable talent who has the ability to win this if he gets the breaks in running. YAUSON (6) was tested in some good races after the debut win so deserves respect.
