Competitive race. BARBARIC LAD (7) broke through for a smart win at Caulfield Heath last time out, coming from well back to charge home and get up by a head. This looks another winnable race and if the tempo is on he'll be hard to hold out. SUPERNIMA (11) was very good first up at Pakenham despite being beaten as favourite. The track was very heavy that night and he found the line well for second over an unsuitable trip. This looks much better for him. SHAALUTE (3) is racing in fine form. He was beaten last time at Pakenham with 136lbs over 7f. Back in trip here suits better. SPARKLING (8) was fair fresh at Caulfield but should strip much fitter and finds her right race. QUISEEN (10) kicked off in a strong race first up. Up in trip suits and she's got the ability to win this.
