Should be an improver this time around, the late betting will be key to his chances. LICENTIOUS (12) just comes back a notch in grade from recent runs in town, fading late at Sandown Lakeside over a mile last time. Back in trip could suit better, expect she's ridden positively from out wide to try and run them along. THE FLYING POPOV (4) resumes. He showed ability last time in, look for him finishing strongly with an eye to rising in trip. WHIMSY SMILE (11) was a dominant maiden winner at Murtoa last time out. This is a fair bit harder but he's heading the right way. PERFECT NIGHT (8) resumes having been in good form last time in, this suits fresh.
