CONTOURS (2) comes here off a narrow first-up maiden win at Ballarat Synthetic, sent out a $2.50 chance and proving too tough on speed to score by a head. Back onto turf should be fine and imagine he'll come on from that. JACKAND (3) put in a good effort here last start when settling back and getting home strongly into second. He can mix his form a fair bit but saves his best for this track and a repeat sees him go close again. IMPENDING SWAN (10) struggled when in the market here last time but had been a handy maiden winner prior and can bounce back quickly. NO GREATER VUE (4) is racing consistently without winning, good into second at Echuca when well backed last time out. Up in trip should suit nicely now. CATALONA (9) is going okay at big odds and is in the mix for exotics again.
