Verdict

What a ripper contest! JESSICA RABBIT (2) did a fair job on debut last time out, finishing 1.3 lengths from the winner in second over 6f at Ballarat. She's an emergency for a $1m G3 at Caulfield on Saturday, which is where the stable would prefer to run and might paint a picture as to just how highly they regard her. SHYSTAR (11) comes through two very good fillies races from winter, running well in both, including a 1.2 length third behind subsequent 1000 Guineas winner Ole Dancer. Jumpouts in preparation for the return have been delightful. MISAPPREHEND (7) is from a top stable and was in the market for a race at Caulfield on Wednesday, but has been saved for this, which looks a good lead. LIGHT FILLED (4) comes through the now-famous Ballarat fillies maiden that produced subsequent Oaks winner Strictly Business and while she disappointed after being heavily-backed her only run prior suggests she's got above-average talent.
