Tough race. HOME TOMURRA (17) ran a solid race first up here in a Class 1 to grab third with improvement to come. Still lightly raced, he'll take holding out from a soft gate with even luck. SUPERLIV (15) is coming off a solid win at Pakenham Synthetic second up. 5 ½f is no issue and she can give a sight again at big odds with Craig Williams booked. ROYAL RENDEZVOUS (18) looks ready to win third up and Shinn goes on. Drawn wide so not quite sure where he gets to but he can improve again and take holding out. TEN WARRIORS (10) resumes. He's very consistent without winning. 5 ½f is on the sharper side but he'll run well.

A race with non-claiming conditions set by the racing secretary. They are meant to be a step down from stakes racing.

Rabbit

Also known as a pacemaker; this is a horse with no expected chance of winning but is used to prompt a quick pace on the front end of the race to the benefit of a stablemate who is a closer.

Pari-Mutuel

A pool style wagering system, where all money input through betting is divided among those with winning tickets (save for various deductions by the track operators).
