Verdict

Our first G1 of the day and THE NEXT EPISODE (1) looks the one to beat. He ran all over Natural Fling when they met at Gold Coast as 2yo's then repeated the dose with an awesome win first up in the G2 Danehill. The margin was only a long neck but he was finishing all over them and gets every chance to do so again with a clear passage down the outside. ST GOTTHARD (5) is the main danger for the Waller yard who certainly know how to set one for this race. He's a full brother to Switzerland who won the race dominantly in 2024 and his two runs in Sydney behind star colt Warwoven have been very good. Fresh and back to 6f, he'll land just off the strong pace and look the winner at some point. SATONO GLOW (13) has been awesome in two wins this time in. She'll be charging home. NATURAL FLING (12) has to be a chance on speed, doubt 6f pulls her up and maybe drier ground helps her more than The Next Episode. UNDER FOCUS (7) was just behind St Gotthard in the Golden Rose and is in the mix.
