Verdict

Keen to side with the different form in MARWOOBA (2) who comes down from Sydney off a sharp win at Rosehill. He got a nice run there but burst through in strong late sectionals to suggest the rise to a mile would be perfect against a few Melbourne 2yo's that haven't set the bar all that high. FONTEIN JEWEL (1) won the key lead-up here last time out in a tough effort, his late strength suggesting the rise to a mile would suit. Respecting again. STAR OF MACEDON (3) was third there in another good effort when back to the inside. He should relish 1m here and draws for a decent run. KO PHANGAN (4) was fourth in the same race and was going 5 ½f to 7f second up so expect he can improve again. FROM YESTERDAY (5) perhaps next best although the gap between runs isn't ideal.
