IRISH WAVE (4) needs to improve on the 6-length ninth at his last appearance over 1m at Camperdown on January 17, but he was good the start prior and draws ideally here. ABBY'S CROSSWORD (8) is yet to break through in 16 runs, the latest a ninth over 1 ¹/16m at Warrnambool but she was good the few runs priors and gets extra points for being on the home track. SHREWDNESS (6) is a stablemate to Lowestoft, who was the warm favourite before being scratched, and hasn't done a lot at her first two starts but will be better for them and the step up to 1m. HE'S ON SONG (3) wasn't sighted on debut back in August but was put away after that and has had a couple of 5f trials in preparation for the return.
